There is an ancient history, that does not solely belong to the human race. Once we accept that all living things are connected. Mother Nature gave us a gift, which was to connect to all of of life, through meditation.

Still on the outside, flowing like water within.

There are many forms of meditation which, over time, have evolved. We must cast our minds back into our ancient indigenous past to understand the first forms of meditation and the spiritual beliefs imbedded within this ancient art.

They based the ancient practice of meditation on an advanced level of knowledge of the human physical structure, which placed the heart at the centre of everything. The ancient medicine being knew the body contained many meridian points, with 108 specific points that all pass through the heart. With this knowledge, they also understood that each meridian point reacted to our emotional content, which is how we lived our lives and understood the lives of others. Our emotional content is the energy which drives our medicine wheel and the entire cosmos. This energy will enhance us or hold us back as if we are stuck to the ground and we cannot move.

Our emotional content is forged from our past events and blended with our desires of the future to form a version of ourselves living in the present day. When we learn to become still and sit quietly in the centre of our medicine wheel, then everything in our lives we find its rightful place. Meditation is not only about breathing, it is mostly to do with knowing how to enter our heart and fully connect with our inner sage. From this point, we evolve by not having to relive emotions of old, but by discovering the wisdom we have gained by accepting and learning our lessons.

I base the meditation I teach on the heart as I relate everything to the heart. There are many books and teachings based on becoming a better human being. Only by understanding the true purpose of our heart are we able to understand our purpose in life and why it is important to learn all the knowledge contained within our soul.
